» Venice Bar Tour

The Venice Bars Tour is a short walk around Venice with three stops in three "bacari" (typical Venetian bars) where we will drink an ombra (a glass of wine) standing up and chatting like Venetians are used to doing before dinner (or instead of it).
In order to appreciate wine (or better to have a good excuse to drink) in Venice we are used to eating a "cicchetto".
The Venetian aperitif has always been, since the times of the Venetian Republic, a simple glass of good wine, even if lately the Spritz, a mixture of wine, Aperol (similar to Campari) and a splash of soda, is very fashionable.
Just one stop is considered an aperitif, but 2-3 stops in those charming old Venetian baccari is the favourite way for locals to eat dinner as a progressive pub crawl, meeting friends and chatting with people..
Every year Venice is visited by more than 15 million tourists and it's not easy to find an offbeat path where one can feel the real Venetian atmosphere, but we will do our best to give you the original experience.
More than about food and wine, usually the chatting is about the history of the ancient Republic with comparisons to today's Venice, we'll try to answer your questions.

The pub crawl was a highlight of my stay. As a single traveler, this was a great way to hook up with a group when I wanted company. The cichetti bar snacks are a very satisfying meal.
